About Us
We are Azelle; people call us Jere or Jerawa (Plural). Others spell our name as Jengre (from our location), Jeere, Jera, Jerawa (pl), Jeriyawa (pl.), Jerewa (pl), or Jereawa as seen in some literatures (Roger and Blench Atlas of northern Languages, edition iv, pg 1 and 49, 2019; Shimizu (1968, 1980, 1982); IL/NBTT Wordlists).
Our language is eZelle derived from the name of our first leader, our ancestor whose name was Zelle and as such we (his followers) are called Azelle or Anazelle.
